Best of Computex 2025: MSI Claw A8

Spread the love

This week at Computex 2025, MSI announced several new products, and that includes its upcoming handheld, the MSI Claw A8, which we knew we had to give our Best of Computex 2025 award to. The MSI Claw A8 is in many ways MSI’s most cutting-edge handheld yet. It’s powered by AMD’s Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU, meaning it’s going to be powerful and should provide gamers with a very pleasant handheld gaming experience.

It’s also the first handheld confirmed to be coming with the Ryzen Z2 Extreme chipset. That likely means it’ll be first out of the gate with it as well, and we like the sound of that.

MSI includes 1TB of storage and 24GB of RAM

The Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU is a good start for the specs on this unit, but it doesn’t stop there. MSI also includes 1TB of storage and 24GB of RAM, putting it on par with at least one other particular handheld. The MSI Claw A8 also comes with an 8-inch 120Hz display, which isn’t the fastest refresh rate we’ve seen on a handheld, but it’ll be plenty fast and look great on a screen of this size.

What makes the MSI Claw A8 stand out the most is its bold design. It definitely looks like the boldest design choice MSI has made so far with its handhelds, featuring two slick color options and what appears to be a pretty comfortable ergonomic feel. There’s no word on price or availability yet, but that doesn’t change the fact that we definitely want to get our hands on one. Because of its slick design and undoubtedly powerful performance, giving the MSI Claw A8 the Best of Computex 2025 Award was an easy decision.
