OnePlus Nord 5 Specifications Emerge with Surprising Battery and SoC Upgrade

The OnePlus Nord 5 specifications have just surfaced. This phone is expected to arrive this summer, following the Nord 4, which launched in July last year.
The OnePlus Nord 5 specifications point to major battery & SoC upgrades
With that being said, Debayan Roy, a tipster, shared some specifications of the phone on X. He claims that the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e will fuel the phone. That will be a lower-bin version of the Dimensity 9400, which is still great.
The OnePlus Nord 4 is fueled by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, a mid-range chip. The MediaTek Dimensity 9400e should be a considerable boost compared to that chip, which is great to see.
The phone is also said to include a 1.5K OLED display, which will be flat, and offer a 120Hz refresh rate. A huge battery is also tipped. The device will have a battery with a capacity of around 7,000mAh, claims the tipster. As if that’s not enough, the OnePlus Nord 5 is also said to support 100W wired charging.
Two rear cameras are tipped, and an affordable price point
Furthermore, there will be two cameras on the back. A 50-megapixel main camera with OIS will be backed by an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper. On the front, you’ll be able to find a 16-megapixel shooter.
The OnePlus Nord 5 is tipped to have a plastic frame and a glass back. An IR blaster will sit at the top of the phone, while an in-display fingerprint scanner will also be a part of the package. Stereo speakers will be a part of the offering too.
The last piece of information that the source shared is the phone’s price tag. It will allegedly cost INR30,000, which translates to $355. If it launches in Europe or the US, the price will be higher, though.
This smartphone is expected to arrive mid-year, most probably in July, when its predecessor launched. Nothing has been confirmed thus far, though, not even the existence of the device.
