India Squad Announcement for England, LIVE Updates: Shubman Gill has been named the new Test captain of Team India, as the squad for the Test series against England was announced by the BCCI on Saturday. Wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has been chosen as the new vice-captain in Test cricket, meaning that pacer Jasprit Bumrah misses out on a leadership role. Pacer Mohammed Shami and batter Shreyas Iyer were among the big names left out of the squad announced by chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar. A new wera is expected to begin for India, following the Test retirements of stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
