The Galaxy Buds Core might be Samsung’s budget mic drop moment

Samsung has a series of high-quality earbuds, but it also has a more affordable offering called the Galaxy Buds FE. These cost $99, and they’re pretty stellar for the price. However, it looks like their spiritual successors, the Galaxy Buds Core, could be around the corner.
The Galaxy Buds FE launched just a few years ago, and they managed to get a 5-star review from Android Headlines. They punched far above their price, bringing audio quality, battery life, and ANC that rivaled earbuds more than twice as expensive. However, it’s time for them to pass the torch, and this means a change in direction.
Right now, we’re still dealing with early information, so you’ll want to take this with a pinch of salt. Anything could change between now and the official launch. Speaking of the launch, rumor has it that Samsung will announce these earbuds during the company’s Summer Unpacked event.
The Galaxy Buds Core could be coming soon
We expected Samsung to call its next affordable earbuds the Galaxy Buds FE 2. However, according to the report, Samsung might revamp its affordable earbuds line with a new design. We don’t know what that design will be, but we’ll most likely see some leaks before the official unveiling.
As for other information, the Galaxy Buds Core have the model number SM-R410, which is similar to the Galaxy Buds FE’s model number, which is SM-400. This further confirms that these are the successors to the Galaxy Buds FE.
These new earbuds have popped up on the support pages for the Russian, Turkish, Indian, and UAE sites. This was after they showed up on regulatory websites. This means that they’re close. How close? Well, the Galaxy Buds FE are no longer available in the Indian, Russian, or UAE markets. They’re still available in Turkey, however.
The only information we have on the actual specs is a rumor about the battery size. One source mentions that the case could have a 500mAh battery inside. That could be a 4% increase over the Galaxy Buds FE’s 479mAh battery. Also, each individual bud could have a 100mAh battery, which is 66% larger than the Buds FEs’ 60mAh batteries.
We’re still waiting for information regarding these new earbuds, but more will start pouring in as we approach the official launch.
