Lokayukta officials raided the offices and residence of seven government officials in different parts of Karnataka on May 15 morning. They seized movable and immovable properties, which according to the officials were disproportionate to their known sources of income.

Several teams were involved in the raids that covered 12 locations in Bengaluru, seven in Tumakuru, eight in Bengaluru Rural district, five in Yadgir, and four each in Mangaluru and Vijayapura.

The officials whose houses and offices were raided are

• Tumakuru — Rajashekar, Project Director, Nirmiti Kendra

• Mangaluru — Manjunath, Survey Supervisor, Dakshina Kannada district

• Vijayapura — Renuka Satarle, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Abhivruddhi Nigama

• Bengaluru — Murali T.V., Additional Director, Directorate of Urban and Rural Planning

• Bengaluru — H.R. Nataraj, Inspector, Legal Metrology

• Bengaluru Rural — Anant Kumar, SDA, Hoskote taluk office

• Yadgir — Umakanth, Shahpur taluk
