The central government has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday to brief political leaders on the strike carried out by the armed forces targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju shared details of the proposed meeting on X, which will take place in the Parliament Library Building, within the Parliament Complex, in the national capital on 8 May.
“Govt has called an All Party leaders meeting at 11 am on 8th May, 2025 at Committee Room: G-074, in the Parliament Library Building, Parliament Complex in New Delhi,” Rijiju wrote.

The meeting comes after Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor‘ early on Wednesday, conducting missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK. These included the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) stronghold in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke, in response to the 22 April terror attack in Pahalgam.
The strike was carried out two weeks after the 22 April terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people — including 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen — were killed in Baisaran Valley.
Commenting on the armed forces’ retaliatory action, the government said that the Indian military had conducted a “measured, non-escalatory, proportionate, and responsible” strike aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, to “deter and pre-empt” any further attacks following the Pahalgam incident.
