Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at the Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Monday (May 5, 2025) seeking clearance of pending projects in Telangana.

The meeting focused on expediting several crucial highway and expressway projects that are expected to boost connectivity and regional development across the State, a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said.

The Chief Minister discussed in detail the construction of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road (RRR) and its associated radial roads. He requested the Union Minister to expedite financial and Cabinet-level approval for the northern part of the RRR, for which tenders had been floated. Emphasising the importance of seamless development, Mr. Reddy urged that both the northern and southern sections of the RRR be completed simultaneously.

Among the other key demands presented during the meeting was the sanctioning of an elevated corridor along the Mannanur to Srisailam stretch of National Highway 765, a vital route connecting Hyderabad to the pilgrimage town of Srisailam. The Chief Minister also pressed for early approval of the Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Expressway, a major proposed highway aimed at linking Telangana’s capital with Andhra Pradesh’s upcoming capital city.

Mr. Reddy highlighted the urgent need for developing radial roads that would connect the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the proposed RRR. Specific attention was drawn to the Hyderabad-Dindi-Mannanur and Hyderabad-Mancherial Greenfield corridors, as well as the highway and radial road from ORR to Manneguda.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Tummala Nageswara Rao, BJP MP K Lakshman, MPs Mallu Ravi and Anil Kumar Yadav, along with the Government Adviser Harkara Venugopal.
