Kurnool, Nandyal police brace for NEET

Kurnool and Nandyal police have made arrangements to ensure a smooth NEET UG-2025, scheduled for Sunday (May 4).

In Nandyal, Superintendent of Police Adhiraj Singh Rana inspected the NEET centres at Government Degree College, ESC government polytechnic college and junior colleges and took stock of the security at these centres. A total of 1,172 candidates will appear for the eligibility test in the district.

Mr. Adhiraj Singh Rana asked the police personnel not to allow internet or xerox centres near the examination centres. He instructed the police to frisk the candidates thoroughly before allowing them to enter the centres. Mobile phones, smart watches and other electronic gadgets will not be allowed inside the centres.

The SP asked the officials to use drones to keep a tab on the surroundings of the centres.

In Kurnool, the examination will be held at 16 centres, and 210 police personnel have been deployed for security. A total of 4,466 candidates are likely to appear for the examination, to be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Each centre has been assigned a circle inspector or a sub-inspector rank officer, and Section 163 of BNSS has been imposed near the centres, Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patel said. He directed the officials to ensure that traffic snarls don’t inconvenience the candidates.
